Manufacturers, both domestic and foreign, today offer the widest range of a wide variety of building materials: from timber and logs to stone and brick. When building country houses, the technology of monolithic structures is often used. In general, concrete is currently widely used in the construction of both urban structures and residential high-rise buildings, as well as private housing construction. The most optimal technology will be the construction of a concrete house with a brick cladding. Such a structure will retain heat well in a harsh climate and will last a long time.
The construction process begins with the installation of formwork on the site. It can be disassembled in parts or be whole. Various materials can be used for formwork – steel, aluminium, wood or combined elements. The best materials for formwork will be steel and aluminum, as they have high strength and are resistant to corrosion. It should be noted the lower strength of aluminum and, accordingly, the existence of a greater probability of its deformation. The formwork is erected so that it repeats the contours of the structure being erected, taking into account the connection of walls, columns, etc.P. After completing the formwork, concrete is poured into it. Today, ordering ready-mixed concrete with delivery is not a problem, therefore, if the foundation of the house is quite voluminous, then it is better to order a ready-made concrete solution, rather than knead it yourself on the spot. After waiting for complete drying and hardening, the formwork is disassembled and installed to fill the next floor.
When choosing a solid formwork, foam polystyrene and chipboard plates are used. Plates of materials are connected with ties. Solid formwork slabs are very light, so installation does not require the use of machinery and construction machines. Expanded polystyrene panels have the greatest thermal insulation.
The advantage of monolithic construction of a house over brickwork is its low cost. The only drawback that can be noted is the dependence of construction work on weather conditions, since construction is carried out in the open air. Therefore, if the technology of monolithic construction was chosen for the construction of a concrete cottage, then work should begin in the summer or spring, when the soil is well warmed up and warm weather has set in. Otherwise, freezing of concrete is possible, which will directly affect its strength characteristics.
