To get started, prepare the following materials and tools: a knife to remove old paint, to roughen you need sandpaper, old rags to wash the battery from dust, two brushes for painting the radiator, a foam roller. If, during painting, it turns out that it is better to replace the batteries, then we advise you to install bimetallic radiators, which have a number of advantages.
As for the choice of paint, you need a special paint designed for painting heaters, a paint that can withstand high temperatures.
Now you can start painting the battery. The battery you are going to paint must be cold. It is more convenient to paint batteries with a brush. Pick a brush depending on the battery model.
It is best to paint the battery from above, first of all, paint the inside of the battery.
Apply layers of paint evenly, do not apply too thick a layer of paint. The best option for painting a battery is painting in two layers. When the first layer of paint is completely dry, you can proceed to the second layer.
The reverse side of the battery is best painted with a brush with a curved handle. In order not to smear the wall behind the radiator, put a thick cardboard behind the battery. The battery can only be turned on when it is completely dry.
