When we start repairs in our apartment, or maybe in an office space, each of us, in parallel with the desired beauty, is concerned about the reliability of materials. In addition, we are interested in the security that materials can provide us. For the installation of partitions, sometimes for leveling ceilings, one of these materials is used, called refractory drywall.
The main difference between this material and the most ordinary drywall sheet is the fact that when a mixture of core material is made, additional reinforcing additives made of fiberglass are added to it.
Fire-resistant drywall is an excellent material that can resist powerful and fairly long-term thermal effects. He is not at all afraid of an open flame.
In principle, in every drywall sheet, there are also additives in the core, which are also able to withstand high temperatures and even open sources of fire. However, unfortunately, they cannot withstand a long effect, the gypsum core very quickly loses its structure, begins to crack, crumble, and the eat is light.
Fireplane drywall due to existing reinforcing additives is not subjected to deformation, it only charred, and continues to withstand the loads without any structural changes.
Cardboard covering the core is tightly glued and does not allow oxygen to get inside the drywall sheet, as a result, burning stops. There is only this, the crystalline grille of refractory drywall, has water molecules, and in a mixture with gypsum it becomes a powerful protection against fire. The higher the temperature, the more crystals release moisture, and naturally prevent the appearance of flame on the surface, and naturally inside the core.
