Representatives of the Ministry of Defense announced their intention to start selling real estate over the next 3-5 years and get about 9 billion hryvnias for them.
All funds will be directed to the subsequent solution of the housing problem of military personnel in the country. This information was officially announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Pavel Lebedev.
The official drew attention to the fact that his department plans to sell real estate objects over the next five years and receive funds in the amount of 6 to 9 billion hryvnias. For these funds, it will be possible to start construction of about 20 thousand apartments.
If we talk about what it is planned to sell, then Mr. Lebedev drew attention to the fact that the ownership of the ministry now has about 429 completely liberated military towns, which are located on land plots, the total area for which about 36 thousand hectares are composed. In addition, employees of the department plan to implement about 30 thousand units of weapons, which is considered morally obsolete.
According to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, for this period of time, more than 45 thousand military personnel are on the corresponding apartment. It is noteworthy that in this line it was necessary to include those of them that were in such a queue back in the days of the USSR. In addition, a comprehensive check of these waiting list is carried out, since among them there are also fictitious troops.
The issue of housing in power structures requires about 15 billion hryvnias. Gradually, its solution occurs, but not the pace that I would like.
